1) Listen. Think.  Listen more.  Think more. Speak (maybe).

Sometimes it’s better not to go straight to keyboard warrior mode after seeing something disagreeable.  Consider your source. If people are being obviously idiotic, don’t run in and slop around with  them. Walk away. If the conversation has substance (and so merits an intelligent contribution) make sure your contribution is intelligent — know what they are talking about (and what you are about to add). If you don’t, you are heading straight into the natural habitat of the common stupidious idioticus.
