Media: “Ohio Too White & Uneducated To Matter” — Clinton Abandoning?

Hillary Clinton made a campaign stop in Ohio on Monday, her first since before Labor day, to speak with voters in the largely Democrat controlled areas of Akron and Toledo.  Her lack of time and resources spent here, combined with recent media reports downplaying the significance of winning the state, have prompted some to speculate that she may be considering abandoning it altogether. Take a look at the Associated Press toeing the line.

Donald Trump has, in recent weeks, been ahead here in virtually every poll, a trend that Clinton’s campaign may believe is unlikely to be reversed before the election on November 8.

The New York Times was quick to Clinton’s defense, blaming the people of the state for just not being smart enough to vote for her. Take a look:

Hillary Clinton has not been to the state since Labor Day, and her aides said Thursday that she would not be back until next week, after a month long absence, effectively acknowledging how difficult they think it will be to defeat Donald J. Trump here. Ohio has not fallen into step with the demographic changes transforming the United States, growing older, whiter and less educated than the nation at large.

What do you think? Is this just another example of the old media sycophantically apologizing Clinton?  Let us know on Facebook or in the comments below.
