Top Ten NES Games That Are Still Fun Today

3) Super Mario Bros 3

Super Mario Bros 3 has several concepts (new at the time) that gamers of this generation might be familiar with. It features many of the power-ups that are now staples of Mario games, an overworld map which allows you to pick your stage or duel Player 2 if you want (I’ll touch on this more in a moment). The Koopa Kids are introduced in this game along with a whole slew of new enemies which are very fun to defeat. All of the different settings also add to the fun of the game, even if you play solo. The ability to enter in the battle mode with your friend is the single best thing about this game in my opinion. If you land on them on the world map and press the A button you go into one of a few different versus stages where you can rob them of their cards. This mini-game alone is good for several hours of play! The versus mode, the overhaul on Mario and Luigi and the new features of the game all give this title a solid #3 on the replay list!
