Trump Seeks Supreme Court Advice from Judge Napolitano

Donald Trump Judge Napolitano

Former Judge and Fox News Senior Judicial Analyst Andrew Napolitano recently returned from Trump Tower with news that the president-elect was seeking his advice concerning a replacement for recently deceased Supreme Court Justice Antonin Scalia. Fox Business reports:

Trump took time for advice from Fox News Senior Judicial Analyst, Judge Andrew Napolitano. The judge outlined desirable qualities for a potential nominee who could fill an empty Supreme Court seat vacated by Justice Antonin Scalia who died in February. The judge advised the president-elect on how to scope out the best candidates based on intellectual, ideological, and temperamental qualities.“He was interested in a broad range of ideas and attitudes about the type of person who would best fill Justice Scalia’s seat,” Napolitano told the FOX Business Network’s Stuart Varney.

Judge Napolitano is a staunch advocate for liberty and a wields of formidable knowledge of constitutional law that make him an ideal individual to consult with towards choosing a solid originalist judge — but wouldn’t he also make an excellent choice for the position himself? Perhaps Trump was sizing the judge up as a potential pick? What do you think? Would Napolitano make a good Supreme Court Justice?
