8) Muhammad
Muhammad is the founder and central figure of the Islamic religion; currently the second largest in the world by number of followers (1.7 billion). His life story has culminated in a movement which inarguably has influenced and affected the world for over 1,300 years.
The eventual decline and fall of the Roman Empire, the crusades of the middle ages, countless wars, and important middle-eastern foreign policy issues consistently at the forefront of world media broadcasts decry the huge degree of influence that this man’s life has exerted over the affairs of mankind for centuries.
