Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump has suffered in the polls over the last few weeks as a result of crassly worded banter captured in a secret audio recording nearly 11 years ago. After a stronger performance in the second presidential debate and with the help of damaging Wikileaks revelations and the story of a man claiming to be the son of Bill Clinton, Trump’s poll numbers are beginning to recover. He has slightly regained the lead in the LA Times poll (one that he has consistently been on top of but briefly lost to Clinton in the last several days) and in the Rasmussen poll.
